Practice Lead,
Business Optimization

Katie has always had an interest in understanding the process behind how things work in order to better communicate to her audience. Katie’s interest was sparked earlier in her career, while working in IT Communications and learning about ITSM best practices and processes, as she obtained an ITIL v3 Foundation certificate. Later, transitioning to a Project Manager role, Katie studied Six Sigma as a means to provide the organization she was working for a set of tools to improve the capability of their business processes. As a member of the Business Optimization SME team, Katie looks to further her experience in identifying and implementing new methods that make businesses more efficient and cost effective.

What I love about Business Optimization
What I love about process improvement is uncovering the “why”: why the process exists in the first place and why it is done the way it is done. Identifying the motives, the drivers, the resources, or lack there-of, really helps open the conversation about moving the process forward.

What I love about our team
What I love about our team is our colleagues are truly open to diverse thoughts. Great ideas are brought to the table and are transformed into even greater ideas through real and open conversation.

FUN FACT

I enjoy baking and, apparently, I am pretty good at it. My niece asked me to make cupcakes for her wedding. I pulled it off and baked more than 240 cupcakes in 5 flavors for her special day.
